How old is roger cornish

Roger also enjoyed his down time playing golf and spent many a days on the course. Roger will be remembered for his sense of humor, sharp wit, love for telling stories, his talent for remembering dates and details, but most of all for his kindness. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. Wanetta and family - I was sad to learn of Roger's passing last week and want to convey my heartfelt condolences on his loss. I will always remember his quick wit and big wave as he jogged in front of our house when we were neighbors on Brookfield Court; and I remembered the night Wanetta got the garage door stuck until I coached her how to pull the emergency release.

The evenings in the cul-de-sac playing Trivial Pursuit are lasting memories of great times with great neighbors. He left us too soon and had miles to go before he could come close to spoiling those grandkids.

He was a pro and his loss will be far reaching. He was so honest, sharp spoken, to the point, polite and professional. What a role model for our youth! Bless him and his family. While I worked at Channel 12 for 9 years, my favorite memory of Roger was outside of the studio. Our friends indeed surprised us and from the back of the crowd came Roger to officiate the service! Rest well Roger. May his family find comfort in the positive impact he left in so many lives.

This breaks my heart for his family today. Wanetta and Roger were so kind and fun to be around. I loved attending the Miss Kansas pageant and other events with them. When I went to the studio, I even decided I wanted to work in journalism- which I did for a bit! What a wonderful family and tragic loss. Please know how present Roger still is in your lives.

And others will see him reflected in you. See how God sends angels into your lives to help you heal. God sees your pain and will gently pull you through this.

Roger retired in Throughout the years, Roger received numerous awards and accolades for his television work. As much as he appreciated those, it was the experiences he loved the most.

Roger was an avid ok, truly fanatical Indy Car fan and could recite details about specific races and drivers like no other. His favorite driver was Wichita native Rick Mears. Those of us who worked with Roger will miss his witty comments and his talent for remembering dates and details.

In his 41 years at the station, he has given wisdom to hundreds of journalists along with just good life advice. Every single one of us have a funny story or special memory with Roger.

Our hearts are heavy losing a great friend. If you knew Roger from watching him on the news or meeting him at the Kansas State Fair, you were getting the real Roger. He wanted to thank each of you for your kind notes and even your critical feedback at times. He looked forward to writing his Answerback segments each week which we hope provided you some laughs and a chance to smile.

In his final days, Roger was still himself. He had funny stories. He got to hear from some good friends. He said he wanted people to smile when they remembered him. We know Roger was so proud of them. Skip to content. Back To School. Don't Fall For It. Links We Mentioned.
